A Guest Teacher – Pastor Daniel Tomberlin 9 Apr 2010
Pastor Daniel Tomberlin came to Bulgarian once again this year. He has been visiting and ministering in our country for a number of years now. He knows many people, churches and places… He arranged to fly into Sofia, and my wife and I picked him up at the airport. He is a good friend of our family – we have visited his town and church in the past. His wife and he are wonderful ministers who have dedicated their life to serving the believers in their town and being a good example to all.
Pastor Tomberlin was addressed by us to come and teach at the Theological College. He agreed, sent us the course schedule and we translated the material. He came on March 10, 2010 in Sofia, and next day we drove to Stara Zagora to spend the weekend in ministry there. On Sunday he served with the Word of God in The Bridge CoG, where he encouraged the believers and his spirit of dedication was felt by all.
During the weekend he taught an intensive course in Pastoral Theology. I translated for him. It was a pleasure for all to listen to him and absorb the lectures. I believe he is just the right kind of teacher – a person who knows the material, but who also has so much life experience in the ministry. All students were impressed and even overwhelmed by his dedication and care. At the end of the course we had a small party to thank our American teacher for coming in our country and enriching us with the wisdom God has given him through the many years of church ministry. Thank you, Dan, you are wonderful! May God bless you and your family!
